Skiing in the Colorado Rockies is appreciated by professional skier, experienced and novice, with many stations to choose from. Two hours west of Denver is the ski resort of Beaver Creek, with 149 ski trails, 25 lifts and three separate villages.
Vail Resorts
Beaver creek ski resort is managed by Vail Resorts, which also manages Breckenridge, Keystone and Vail in Colorado, and the Heavenly Ski Resort in California and Nevada. RockResorts and Grand Tone Lodge Company are two brands are the property of the parent company of Beaver Creek. With Vail, both stations are scheduled to host the prestigious World Alpine Ski Championships 2015 FIST.
Beaver creek ski resort includes three villages - Beaver Creek Village, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead Village - and two cities: Avon and Edwards. The villages are submitted by the station, while cities are independent of Beaver Creek, even though their economies are closely linked to the ski resorts in the region.
Three Villages
Beaver Creek Village is known for its accessibility to the ski resort which means that all units, including hotel rooms, bed and breakfast establishments and condominiums are accessible by road and ski jumpers. Bars, restaurants, galleries and shops in the city are linked by heated walkways and elevators. This town has a skate outdoors and a wonderful show of the arts center.
The centerpiece is the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch, a hotel with 180 guest rooms that are active throughout the year. The hotel has 40 suites and offers ski-in / ski-out access to Beaver Creek Mountain and championship golf access. Forbes gave 21,000 square foot spa four star all Condo Nast places the Ritz-Carlton in their Gold List of the best places to stay. All rooms at the Ritz-Carlton has two double beds or one king-size bed, bathrobes, minivan, Internet access, coffee maker, sitting area and desk.
Arrowhead Village is home to many private homes and condominiums and is the westernmost of the three villages. One of the favorite places to dine in the village is the Broken Arrow Cafe, known for its basic situation of mountain and outdoor patio with full service bar and grill. Arrowhead is accessible to other people through the ski slopes or a shuttle. The village has a golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, golf and many condominium homes.
Colorado Extravaganza
While Vail is probably the best known of the Colorado Rockies, Beaver Creek has much to offer in its own name. Together these communities resorts offer year-round enjoyment of the slope of the field of all entertainment services.
